Play at the Brooklyn Marriott!
Welcome to another massive scholastic K-12 chess event at the beautiful Brooklyn Marriott Hotel, on 333 Adams Street, about 5 minutes drive south of the Brooklyn Bridge, near Borough Hall.
Hotel rooms may sell out early! This year the charge per day is $179 with an added $25/day resort fee that can be used as credit toward food purchases at the hotel. Book online, or call 877-303-0104 or 718-246-7000 by January 14th and mention "Chess".Subway stops are just a short walk away; The A, C, F, N and R trains stop at Jay Street Metrotech while the 2, 3, 4, 5 trains stop at Borough Hall. Most things will be just like last year; The same sections, time controls and round times. Note that this year we may have to limit participation if we go much higher than 1500 entries! Other changes here.
Our January 31st Friday Night Blitz will as always be open for all, adults and scholastic players! Sign up is on-site between 6:00 and 6:45 pm.
